Put a Grill Plank in the Oven

How many times have you planned the perfect plank dinner for yourself, your friends or family and the worst thing that could ever happen…happened? I am talking about running out of propane, charcoal, or the natural gas to your house gets turned off. Don’t fret! The grilling planks from Smokin’ Diablo can be used in a conventional oven as well. That’s right, the oven in your kitchen. If you need help operating the oven, refer to your wife or girlfriend!

Here’s how to use the Smokin’ Diablo Seasoned Grill Planks in the Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place the desired meat or vegetable onto the center of the seasoned plank. Side to be presented should be face down.
  3. Place plank on baking sheet or aluminum foil for easy clean up and put into preheated oven. Bake until meat or veggie is halfway done.
  4. Flip meat or veggie so the presentation side is facing up. Finish cooking to the desired tenderness. Note – If cooking fish which has skin, remove the skin gently and discard.
  5. Eat and enjoy!
